Kevin Wilson

Advisory Board President

Kevin Wilson is the founder and CEO of the Center for the Global Study of Social Enterprise. This is an academically based consulting organization focusing on social entrepreneurship in the Global South. In this role, the organization’s focus is on 1) consulting services to SME’s and development NGO’s and 2) educational programming for aspiring entrepreneurs and social innovators. (Under Kevin’s leadership, the Center is presently overseeing multiple projects across Africa, South Asia, and Europe.)

 

In addition to his work as a nonprofit CEO, Kevin is also a passionate educator in the field of international development, having taught and run programs at both the secondary and university level. He has taught classes and presented on multiple topics pertinent to the field of development including youth economic empowerment & access to higher education.  He  additionally has a Master’s Degree in International Relations from American University & graduated with Honors from the University of Richmond. Currently, his research focuses on emerging trends in social entrepreneurship, economic power dynamics in International Relations, and entrepreneurship in fragile states/developing economies.


Cait O'Donnell

Bridget is a budget analyst for the state of Maryland’s Department of Budget and Management, Office of Budget Analysis. Previously, Bridget worked as a Policy Fellow for Baltimore City’s Mayor’s Office for Human Services on projects serving youth experiencing homelessness, while completing her Master’s Degree in Public Policy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her undergraduate degree is in Business Management and Accounting.  After completing her undergraduate degree she served as a Community Economic Development Peace Corps volunteer in the northwest region of Cameroon. While in Cameroon she began working with COSDEF founder Javnyuy Joybert teaching business classes together at a local women’s empowerment center. After he established the Center for Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Business Management Development (CELBMD) she taught Corporate Entrepreneurship courses there to youth looking to start businesses and develop skills to help them advance in their careers. Bridget has a passion for social entrepreneurship applications and working to empower youths to develop themselves through business education and leadership opportunities.

Cait O’Donnell began working with The Center for Entrepreneurship,
Leadership & Business Management Development (CELBMD) Africa a
subsidiary of COSDEF Group Social Innovation Enterprise as a Youth
Development Peace Corps Volunteer posted in Kumbo, Cameroon from 2014 – 2016.
Together they provided business entrepreneurship and life skills courses to young people.
She has a B.A. in International Affairs with concentrations in International Development
and Africa and a minor in Geography from the George Washington University. She currently
works at Making Cents International as a Senior Associate on the Technical Services team,
where she manages youth development projects in Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and Central America.
